In un’epoca di mobilità e policentrismo, i mobili Defase sanno conferire un approdo prezioso e sicuro a ciò che vale. La forza del disegno si esalta nella preziosità dei materiali, senza soluzione di continuità.
Immagina un mobile che può stare in uno spazio e rapirne la luce, irradiandola poi nell’intorno Ideato e costruito per poter "stare" semplicemente al centro di uno spazio, un Defase è a tutto tondo, reso autonomo da una concezione integralmente bifacciale, che non distingue fronte da retro.
Immagina il gesto di aprire un cassetto e respirare la continuità… Continuità di essenze e trattamenti del legno, i medesimi all’esterno come all’interno. Un Defase è concepito come un unico atto di attenzione all’uomo, si fa custode dei suoi beni,  arredo dei suoi luoghi, entro l’unità fisica ed emotiva dei suoi spazi…
Defase si basa sulla trasparenza del vetro sul legno, dell’interno sull’esterno, mentre accoglie in se stesso e riflette l’energia dell’intorno: luce, spazio, materia ed atmosfera.
Ogni trasparenza allegerisce la materia della sua stessa materia...
La lezione dei maestri viennesi di fine ‘800 - espressa in rigore formale e bando all’ornamento per vezzo - sintesi aristocratica di relazioni essenziali fra pensiero, forma e materia, è assorbita nel design del Movimento Moderno e di certe avanguardie novecentesche a conferma di valori quali ricerca, innovazione nella continuità, autenticità essenziale, anche riguardo la produzione di oggetti. Nel solco di questa tradizione si interpreta il lavoro di Defase, riferimento elegante e garbato, sobriamente silenzioso eppur denso di significati, ricco di materica e simbolica solidità.

Imagine a piece of furniture that can stay in a place and capture the light, then irradiating it all around. Conceived and built to be able to simply "stay" in the middle of a space, a Defase is in the round, made autonomous by a completely two-sided concept, which does not distinguish the face from the back.
Imagine the gesture of opening a drawer and breathing the continuity… Continuity of wood essences and treatments, exactly the same outside as inside. A Defase is conceived as a unique act of attention towards the man: it becomes caretaker of his goods, furnishing of the places where he lives, within the physical and emotional unity of his spaces…
Defase is based on the transparency of the glass on the wood, of the outside on the inside, while it holds in itself and reflects the energy of what stays around: light, space, matter and atmosphere.

The lesson of the Viennese masters of the end of the 19th century – expressed through formal rigour and banishment of all decorations for affectation –, aristocratic synthesis of essential relationships between thought, shape and matter, is absorbed into the design of the Modern Movement and of some avant-gardes of the first years of the 20th century. This confirms values as research, innovation in the continuity, essential authenticity, also in relation to the production of objects. The work of Defase can be interpreted in the path of this tradition, an elegant and courteous reference, soberly silent but teeming with meanings, full of physical and symbolic solidity.
